You Have My Permission To Succeed

Circa 2007, I was fresh out of a divorce. My heart was not in a good place. My little girl was no longer going to be in my life full-time, my credit was destroyed, I had been fired from my job, and drinking my sorrows away was no longer an option for me– I was literally broke (like zero dollars to my name, broke!)

I was sleeping on a daybed on my buddy’s sun-porch. Being that it was a “sun” porch, it was hot most of the time–VERY hot.

After moping around for about 60 days, casually looking through help wanted ads on Craigslist and and getting very tired of the numerous “Make $5000 per day from home part-time” ads that I kept seeing, I truly started feeling hopeless.

My buddy that was letting me stay in his home, during this troubled time, is, to this day, one of the best friends I’ve ever had. He is a retired medical doctor with a big heart! He watched me mope around his place with my terrible attitude and energy for long enough I suppose. One day he said, “You really need to get your (expletive) together and get the (expletive) out of my house!!” I was like “Whoa dude!” He said, “Ken you are far too talented and too much of a go-getter to be sitting around feeling sorry for yourself. You need to do whatever it is that you need to do to get your attitude right and get your crap together, and go rebuild your life!”

That was the moment of clarity that I needed. That moment when all of the fears and pain (which wasn’t even real pain, but entirely made up in my head) it was that moment that I felt like I was given permission to be successful at something! But what? What was that going to be? The sales jobs that were posted all seemed to say the same thing, and I was in no place to try and filter through all of the crap to get to the real stuff. Then my buddy said, “Why don’t you get back into the website and marketing business! You’re great at it, and you love it!” It was within 10 minutes that CSI (Client Solution Innovations) was born!

All of the mental drama and stress that I put myself through before and after that moment my friend told me, “You have my permission to succeed,” seemed absolutely ridiculous! He handed me a $20 bill that day. It was his investment in my future. A LOT has happened in my business since that day. Good and bad (at least what I perceived to be bad). And here is the thing: No matter what I face in any day, having the correct posture and attitude are the #1 most important thing. This doesn’t mean that you’re not gonna have moments where you feel like the entire universe is caving in on you. That’s natural, it’s part of being alive. The trick is to not stay stuck there.

I didn’t go to college but have invested very heavily in my education. I continue to invest in my education on a daily basis. I foundGrant Cardone and Cardone University about a year and a half ago. The sales training and motivation that I have received from this investment is unfathomable. It is this investment that has paid me the greatest dividends of my life. By constantly training and going through the video modules, I am able to adjust my thinking and attitude at any moment– no matter what the issue is!

So if you are like me, you’ve been waiting your entire life for the special “someone” to give you the validation and permission to succeed! So I am here to give that to you right now! You have my permission to stop moping, get off of your ass, and get out there! Go right NOW and SUCCEED!
